Standard slide rails are manufactured with a hole each end, so as to fit over the spike of a tent pole, slide rails can also be made with a plain or threaded spike one end They may also have a plate fitted on to one end. The standard maximum lengths are: -

Slide rails and ridge rails are manufactured using a combination of tube diameter i.e.
16mm - 19mm
19mm - 22.2mm
